I want you to know your life matters
Though sappy I don’t want to be
Looking deep to where thoughts are sacred
Often causes my heart to flee
But just so you know I am changing
And can stay longer here each time
You can see by reading my poems
It’s easier put to a rhyme
So here’s the truth as I know it
Words never were easy you see
Though now for some reason are flowing
Something huge freed up within me
It’s like I’m morphing into a new creature
A butterfly comes to mind
My wings no longer all crumpled
Now with them I can glide
Don’t let my words embarrasses
Only take them as a gift
Of which very sincerely rendered
Can give your self some lift

Jason
Has Jason become obsessed with gourmet?
I ask him and he doesn’t know what to say
He frequents the kitchen and likes to create
Yet now something new has been brewing of late
Fun gadgets and tools… and practical stuff
Is Jason’s excuse… but that’s not enough
Salads and pasta- chopping and cooking
Cheesecake baked up while no one is looking
But his real fixation is hidden inside
The heart of subject where Kimmy resides
He’ll do anything to make her smile
To lift up her spirits… to stay for a while
He loves her more than life it’s self
A force- impossible to squelch
